Common Adverbs
The following adverbs are placed flexibly in any position in a sentence except at the end.
Amari - (あまり) (Not) very much
Ato de - (後で) Later
Chanto - (ちゃんと) Neatly, properly, punctually, correctly
Chotto - (ちょっと) A little, a bit, a moment
Douzo - (どうぞ) Please
Hotondo - (ほとんど) Almost, hardly, seldom (with a negative)
Korekkiri - (これっきり) Once and for all
Maamaa - (まあまあ) So-so
Mazu - (まず) To begin with, first of all
Mou - (もう) Already, (by) now, soon, yet (in questions)
Sakki - (さっき) A short while ago
Shibaraku - (しばらく) For a while, for the time being
Shitagatte - (したがって) Accordingly
Sukkari - (すっかり) Completely, perfectly
Sukoshi - (少し) A little, a bit, a moment
Sukoshimo - (すこしも) At all
Susunde - (すすんで) Willingly, voluntarily
Taihen - (たいへん) Very (much)
Tatoe - (たとえ) Even, no matter
Tokuni - (特に) Especially, in particular
Tonikaku - (とにかく) Anyhow, anyway, in any case
Totemo - (とても) Very, really, (not) by any means
Tsui - (つい) Unintentionally, by mistake
Yagate - (やがて) Before long, soon
Yoku - (よく) Often, well, hard
Yukkuri - (ゆっくり) Slowly, without hurry
Zehi - (ぜひ) by all means
Zuibun - (ずいぶん) Fairly, very much
Zutto - (ずっと) All the time
