Naha Hari Dragon Boat Race
Naha Hari Dragon Boat Race is one of the famous festivals in Okinawa, Japan. Hari dragon boat race were said to be imported from China to Okinawa during the era of the Ryukyu Kingdom. This event is being held every year to pray for the fishermen's safety and big catch for the year. Different organizations are competing in this race from the main hari.This is one of the challenging and exciting activities I attended during my stay in Okinawa, Japan. I belong to the blue team headed by our Japanese department manager. Usually, there are 10 people on both sides of the boat and 1 leader standing at the back side to give instructions. It took about 10 minutes going to the target margin and back to the starting point.
