When to use?
1) At the beginning of sentence.
Taifuu ga owatta. Daga ouku no inochi ga ushinawareta.
= The typhoon is over. However, many people lost their lives.
2) After dictionary, ta or nai form of verb/adjective + noun.
Takai no daga hinshitsu ga yoi desu.
= It's expensive but the quality is good.
Kanojo no jimusho ni tazuneta no daga, aenakatta.
= I dropped in at her office but I wasn't able to see her.
