When to use?
1) After the stem of adjective expressing emotion

Kanojo wa motto ii kaban o hoshigatte imasu.
= She wants a better bag.

2) After the stem of adjective expressing sensation

Sono kega hito wa hidoku itagatte imasu.
= That injured person looks to be in terrible pain.

3) After conjunctive form of verb + ta

Kare wa nihon ni ikitagatte imasu.
= He is eager to visit Japan.
