Ikura - Temo or Demo
Meaning: No matter how much / how hard.
When to use?
1) Used with ku-form of adjective.
Ikura hayakutemo roku ji kara ni ikitai.
Hiragana: いくらはやくてもろくじにいきたい。
Kanji:いくら早くても6次に行きたい。
= I want to go there by six at the earliest.
2) Used with te-form of verb
Ikura renshuushitemo yoku naranai.
Hiragana: いくられんしゅうしてもよくならない。
Kanji: いくら練習しても良くならない。
= No matter how how hard I practiced, it doesn't get me better.
3) Used with noun
Ikura tsuyoi kaze demo sono biru wa ugokanai.
Hiragana: いくらつよいかぜでもそのびるはうごかない。
Kanji: いくら強い風でもそのビルは動かない。
= Even a strong wind cannot move that building.
2) Used with te-form of verb
