Meaning: Within, less than, not more than
When to use?
1) After noun expressing length or quantity or price (Followed by Ni).
Nijuppun inai ni kaerimasu.
Hiragana:にじゅっぷんいないにかえります。
Kanji:20分以内に帰ります。
= I'll be going home within 20 minutes..
2) Followed by "Da or Desu."
Ryokou no hiyou wa san man inai desu.
Hiragana: りょこうのひようはさんまんえんいないです。
Kanji: 旅行の費用は3万円以内です。
= The expense for the trip will be less than thirty thousand yen.
3) Followed by "No".
Gakkou wa koko kara aruite ni go fun inai no tokoro desu.
Hiragana: がっこうはここからあるいてにごふんいないのところです。
Kanji: 学校はここから歩いてに5分以内の所です。
= The school is within 5 minutes walk from here.
2) Followed by "Da or Desu."
